I was wondering, does the sv650 k5 have the same system as honda where the immobiliser is linked to the ECU basically is it like the Honda HISS system?
I ask as I have breaking a k5 sv650 and wondering if i should sell the ECU and the lockset together or it doesnt matter and i can sell the lockset and ECU seperately? Cheers. |

I honestly wasn't even aware that the sv had an immobiliser!

SV doesnt have an immobiliser or any security like the HISS system. I reckon you'd be fine to sell seperately.

Not a clue what they are worth, but if you have fairing lowers can I stake a claim on them on behalf of Phil24/7 please - he'll no doubt be along later to sort out price and payment with you.
He's been after some for ages and keeps missing them when they come up for sale. |

The ECU I reckon £40 is fair, or hold out for more if you want. The only reason I am aware of people buying replacements are to switch between full power & restricted ECUs so it will be important to list which yours is.
The lockset, not sure how much |

No, the keys have no link to the ECU. If you have a Suzuki installed immobilser on your SV then it is a Meta, specifically made to plug in on the Pointy SV's and again has no link to the ECU.
