We wash our dusters, but we've got so many for bike cleaning etc we wait til we have a full load for the washing machine. Don't see why you can't just hand wash it though.

Any excuse

I honestly don't dust at all, but my laptop accumulates a lot so have to keep wiping it down with one

F###ing hell that's a lot of cleaning!

Here's one for you. The very horrible rags left over after spannering, soaked in brake fluid, grease, orribleness and gunk get thrown away... but could I put them in washing machine? Would this result in my rapid, messy and agonisingly painful death-by-mother?

Yes, top tip for you Chris - use the girlfriends washing machine and deny all knowledge (it worked once).

I put them through the machine, then just do an empty wash after. Never had a problem yet

Go outside and give it one hell of a shake, as if you are trying to make it "snap" like a whip!
