Default Setting off a speed camera

So...

Starting with a stationary SV650 level with a GATSO speed camera, could you set it off on acceleration?

In a 30 zone? 40 zone? 50 zone?
Could you do it from starting at the first little white line accross the road?

Anyone tried?

Whilst drunk I spent some quite considerable time trying to set a Speed Camera off with a Toy Car in my hand then running as fast as I could then jumping past it.

I was very drunk. 2 hours not one flash.

whilst the workmen were setting up one of those flashing speed camera signs:

i was waiting at the lights they had set up to control traffic, i managed to go from a standing start to setting the sign off (around 28/29mph true speed) in the space of about 20 metres...

made me smile

i've also found out the 30 limit ones that pop up how fast you're travelling top out at around 56mph...

most unlikely, and the higher the speed limit even less likely. but what about hitting the speed cam at the legal limit and then accelerating, might get a flash then i reckon?

I was hoping someone (Lone wolf or Baph usually ) would come along and work it out

Come on, its about 20 metres you'd have, sv 0-60 in 3.65 seconds, how far til you hit 35mph?

I was just wondering as I rode past one today. Not that I'd actually want to do it!
