Default Didier Drogba incident last night.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/low/foo...ea/7726060.stm

In fairness the bloke has apologised, but to defend him a little...As any human, the guy reacted because someone showed a disliking to him by throwing an object at him that could do damage, yes he should rise above it, but the guy has also been a target of racial comments during matches before, he let his temper go.

Discuss boys and girls...

(I am not a Chelsea fan by the way, Man Utd all the way)

Dunno what he did and really don't care - it's only football FFS! If what he did was illegal and has witnesses, he should be arrested and processed through the courts.

In other words, treated like everyone else and not treated differently cos he is a footballer.

my view...

dont blame him at all id of done the same!!

BUT

he gets paid an obscene amount of money for kicking a ball, keeping fit AND being a role model for a younger generation, however i dont blame him at all.

MORE IMPORTANTLY

he is one of my strikers in my dream team, and has just come back and i can now get points from him...so he better not be suspended!!!

As above not a fan of football or the football mentality.

He should be prosocuted but so should all the other idiot shouting racist crap and throwing missles.

Seems that once in a large group of other like minded 'football fans' usual laws dont apply.

Fair point, but Mike, if people chanted things that you didn't like at and had to try and hold in anger, agression etc, would you see it still from the same point?

I actually think you would cos you have ya head screwed on

I'm not sure on this one - I remember when Cantona karate kicked the Palace fan, I thought he was right to do it, but that's because I hate Palace.

They do get paid a lot of money, but coining them is not on really, you could cause some serious injury with a well directed coin.

I say that now I am 33, used to be great fun when I was 12 down at the Den, used to save all my coppers up for home games. Doesn't make it right I know and it is really stupid.........but we all did stupid things when we were growing up.

As for him throwing it back, he doesn't need the extra money obviously, he wouldn't of got it back at Welling United or probably even at my beloved Millwall.

Of course I would! He is still subject to the law of the land, footballer or not.

Yeah thaI'm saying, forget he is a well paid respected footballer and go down to the bare of it all. And yes I do agree he deserves a punshment but I can see it from his point of view also.
