Default Yum yum....or not (p.s. not for the delicate stomach :P)

Once again, the miracles of our student kitchen have churned out some sumptuous cuisine....

Yes sir, it was all in the name of biology, honest sir!

The object held up on the left was brown bread and on the right, there was tomato puree in that tin

New cure for cancer in that lot I bet, pity noone wanted to go get too close!

And the thing far left is a bin.
1. buy bin liners from somewhere like Tesco
2. put a liner in bin
3. but rubbish in binliner
4. take binliner out of bin at least once a week
5. tie hadles of binliner
6. take binliner to outside bins

Quite easy actually, I don't even think you need to attend a lecture to get the general idea.

Why people let that happen is beyond me. And no, being a student is not an excuse.

haha, reminds me of 6th form when we had a 'pet mould' in one of the lockers. We fed it every day and watched it expand upwards and outwards in the jug.........

..... all in the interests of science of course

But to have that in your own kitchen is foul

Being a student is more of an excuse, generally being forgetful is mainly the cause. As far as I'm aware people don't let this happen, things just get forgotten about. Eating for one person makes it harder to, for e.g. finish off a whole loaf of bread, next thing you know it's been in there a bit longer than you thought and has to be chucked. A fridge stuffed with food, sooner or later something you forgot you had at the back of it needs to be chucked because you forgot! Food is not always top priority!

So FG1 never in all your life have you ever accidentally let something go off? That's pretty good going if so

not my own kitchen though is it? I share it with 4 others, each as scatty as the next, therefore increasing the chances of such things occurring

I never meant to make it look like I was proud of it, just found it amusing. Obviously Lou, you with a child about wouldn't let this happen, neither would I in that situation, but if it;s only yourself who you've got to look after then tis easy to let things lie....for a while

Ahh, well I didn't know there were four of you sharing in there. And quite right, cooking for one you get more stuff left over, indeed cooking for one adult and one kid that don't eat much is pretty much the same.
Everyone bashes on about wasting food and stuff, but you don't get it in 'for one' portions!

I do find it amusing too tiz why I gave you the example of the pet mould

Although I shall admit a couple of months back, I put something in the microwave for later and a few days later I couldn't understand where the stink was coming from (bearing in mind I don't use the micro very often) I can safely say i was very embarrassed but like yourself we had a bit of a giggle at it. Now I'm forever doing the OCD checking the back of the fridge and anywhere else again

Oh that doesnt look too bad.Give the bread a bit of a scrape and add the contents of the tin. Then grill it till it goes well black and you have a reasonable meal for a student Id say.
If it dont kill you it will make you stronger.
