I found they never actually went fully clear and always had a tinge to them, this is more noticeable at night and they they also produced glare.

I've got one, like it lots, no glare, hyperoptic is OK but the main advantage is it is fog free, ALWAYS.

There is a tint to it all the time, but probably only about the same as my tinted visor (legal tint).

Biggest issue I have is that the sticky stuff isn't sticky enough to keep it in place for too long and I have had it come off a few times.

I think people have put the odd drop of superglue on to hold it in place.

Maybe the pinlock version would be ideal?

Yeah, they're not supposed to go fully clear... Yellow and green tints are supposedly better for depth perception in low light, it's by design. I like mine, I've got a pinlock in one helmet and a fog city in the other one and I do prefer the tint of the fog city. They both demist exactly as well as the other. The only real issue is that the tint is never very dark, so they're no susbtitute for a dark visor in really bright sun- they can take the edge of a bright day but they don't really make that much difference. I've never had any glare/reflection issues at all but you do hear a lot of people say they do, I've sometimes wondered if it might vary by helmet or by fitment.

ive got the one that turnes blue in the light. I fited it to a brand new visor in august and it came off in october. It was fitted properly and i took my time to do it.
Since then it doesnt stick well at all. I believe its due to the temp change. Ie You fit it inside. Then when you go ouside and it gets very cold it shrinks away from the visor as the glue gives up. Then as it comes back up to temp the glue resticks but the visor has shifted slightly so you no longer get the air gap sealed.

Usage wise it was bloody fantastic till it stopped sticking and if they did a pukka pinlock one i would get one. but at 30 quid its a lot of cash for something that imo has lasted all of 3 months... Ill probably go for a yellow tinted pinlock next. Maybe?

Hmm. I've had one in my old Arai for 3 winters now, and no problems like that... And I've had to knock ice off my visor a couple of times So I'm not sure it's the cold.

I've got one and think its one of the best pieces of kit I've purchased. Never had any problems. The tint is blue in the sun and a light greeny/yellow in the dark - works perfectly and I've never suffered with glare at all. In fact the only thing that occassionally happens is a lil bit of condensation on the bottom edge from your breath... and at this point... NO misting... Infact my glasses (when I haven't got me contacts in) will mist up in seconds whilst the Hyperoptic stays clear.
