Default Storing my bike for 3 months, what should I do?

Stupid question....

Im having to park the nice new bike for at leats the next 3 months maby longer.

Is there anything i should do to keep it in top condition. Its stored in a garage so weather is not a problem.

Should i disconnect the battery or anything like that???

Change the oil, get an Optimate ...
spray it liberally with something like ACF 50

Try and jack the tyres off the ground, and drain the carbs if it has carbs.Fuel stabliser in a full tank of petrol and get an Optimate.Lube the chain up.
And get an Optimate.
Did I mention the Optimate?

Nope none, its what I've done with my GSXR, batteries out and in the kitchen plugged into an optimate.

What the others have said, but brim the fuel tank with petrol as well.

The only thing I would do is put the battery on an Optimate for the time it is being parked up. Don't forget to fully check over the bike before you ride it in three months time.

+1

What's all the fuss about changing the oil, ACF50 etc, it's only 3 bloody months. Stop being paranoid, it'll be fine as it's garaged.

I wouldn't bother unless you plan to add fuel stabiliser to ensure it doesn't chemically break down. 3 months is nothing, the tank isn't going to have the bottom corrode out in that short a time.

Only thing I do is spin the wheels round so I don't get a flat spot on the tyres. Which now the frozen packed snow has gone in the garden i can do on Suzy and the Raptor this week..
.. I only have the one battery for the SVs..well i can't ride both at once!, but then i know that'll be as flat as a fart, cause I haven't been out for three weeks
