Default Sideswiped. Not down. Not out

A classic "didnt see you...mate" this morning, and the first bump Ive ever had in 18 months

Me, lane 2 motorway, him, lane 3, followed by lane 2. My speed, est. 25, him, about the same. Me, pushed into stationary traffic queueing for an exit in lane 1. Thankfully no ooger sandwich though.

The worst of it was he was quite happy to keep going on his way, until I gestured otherwise. This angered me most.

Typical case, company lease car, he did (allegedly) check his mirrors, but didnt see me. Odd that, what with my headlights and hi-viz jacket. Turns out he rides too, though part of me suspects only when its sunny and warm...

Me? lost a bar end and might have scuffed the fairing (wet - cant tell yet)

Him? a decent gauge in the rear wing and rear door. Brake levers eh? multi-purpose or what?

I'll live for another fool yet....

was it Mr Audi man? I had one of those today. Decided to tailgate me out of the way then try pushing in front of me when he was in the wrong lane. Of course i didn't let him in, even when he was half over the lines, at my side. Morons

Yes, pleased I kept it up otherwise I'd not have been as lucky. Had I fell theres no doubt that at a low speed like that the bike wouldve slid, with me under it for a short while til it stopped.

Ive got the details etc, a good wash tomorrow should highlight anything else.

What astonishes me most is why people in semi stationary traffic change lanes. Theyre the reason for most delays, not the solution.

Im sure we've all done it once, yes, but at least, just do it carefully, if you feel you must.

PS - it was neither an Audi, nor a BMW

.
especially on Friday. They really are far more important, and need to be wherever far quicker than yeeiioow.
My dad sees it on the M62 every day. It takes him longer and longer to get home every day. Just morons these days.
