Noticed the rear indicators were not as well fitted as the fronts so with some further investigation (new to bikes) I now know I have a Evotech tail tidy fitted. Does anyone with the same tail tidy find the indicators seem a bit slack? Also do I need a reflector for my MOT?
Any info much appreciated Colin |

You can buy spacers for the indicators to mount into properly - I also have an EvoTech tailtidy & found that the indicators had no-where to mount to without these spacers. Motrax sell them.
Perhaps you have the wrong spacers in there (small bits of plastic), or the're in the wrong way around - they come in two halves IIRC. EDIT: These be the spacers... http://www.twowheel.co.uk/motrax-ind...r-spacers.html As for the reflector, yes, you need one for the MOT. I got a red reflective sticker with the tail tidy, and put this onto the back of the numberplate light. Last edited by Baph; 27-01-09 at 01:47 AM. |

If you unbolt the standard reflector from the big lump of plastic it can be mounted the bottom of your numberplate. I made up a neat little alloy bracket to do this. It cost nothing but a bit of time.

Dont evotech do 2 different models of tail-tidy for the sv? (one for the standard indies and one for mini indies if i remmy correctly) so if you need spacers, u got the standard indies tidy and have mini indies (i assume)
http://www.evotech-performance.com/a...Tail_Tidy.html so basically if you have the standard indies one you will defo need the motrax spacers mentioned by Baph for the mini indies to fit correctly Amp PS i know i brought the standard one and my standard indies fitted just jubbly ![]() |

The tail tidy was on the bike when I bought it and it has still got the original indicators. They fit but I can still move them slightly (e.g. I can turn them to 5 past or 5 to - if you know what I mean???). Is this right or am I missing some parts from the original. There is a rubber cushion and backing plate where the wire and bolt go through and the bolt is tight if this helps?
Thanks again. |

iirc i fitted a few extra washers on the end of the stems .... wasn't dead tight but made them more stable

hmmmmmm strange as mine were a good tight fit, i used the original spacer fingies from my snow shovel too (the plastic backing plate fingamajigs)
id use a coupla glue gun spots to seal em in, reason i suggest a glue gun is coz u can jus peel it off when removed unlike super-glue etc jus my bodgetastic idea thos Amp |

i fitted an evotech tail tidy only a few months back , my indicators are standard and fit perfect , i must say this was one of the easiest parts i've ever fitted , with step by step instructions , i guess whoever fitted yours may have missed something or done something wrong ?
