Default What's this electrical part?

Biike is a 05 sv650 race bike.Any one tell me what this is.Bike runs fine without it(Something to do with lites?)There is a resistance written on the side of it.Can i leave it disconnected as i am running without lites?Cant seem to find it in the manual.

what does it connect to in the wiring loom?

I think its something to do with the Fuel Level sensor? Which works on a thermistor principle IIRC, so I think, the large ceramic block in the tail section is some sort of dropper/current limit resistor. I think the external resistor was fitted on and after the K5's.

Thats the tip-over sensor - for cutting the engine out if the bike is on its side.

Isn't the TO sensor in front of the battery box?

Thats the normal place for it. May have been moved and mounted in a different place. Can be confirmed by checking the wiring colours with the manual.

Looks like orange, Red and Green in the photos, on the loom side.
