Default Painting frame

Ok, im gonna give the zxr has a planned makeover, one day its gonna get a full strip and powdercoat, but in the meanwhile i want to give it a touch up. The frame/swingarm are grey at the mo but have scratches, so im gonna paint it matt black, i know the frame can get a little hot/warm, but would normal spray can stuff be ok, or will i need the high temperature stuff?

from what i gather YC is the matt black expert! any ideas/experience?

High temp stuff, I think. GMS of the pennine massive did his curvy frame....sure it were rattle cans, it looks pretty cool too.

YC only applies his paint with a stick as hes none too choosy ..hehehehe

ok, an update for anyone else who's thinking of painting their frame.

4 newspapers, 3 rolls of masking tape and 2 cans of paint and its done. I used plastikote super enamel paint, matt black. rubbed the original paint down with 800 grit, degreased etc then 4 coats of paint. Masking up took about 3 hours and was pretty boring, but i wanted to make sure it was all sealed up. I didnt think around the yokes would work due to everything in the way but it come out great.

before

during

After
