Default V-Strom Hand-Guards

Well I gave in last weekend and ordered a set of these and fitted them . A couple of interesting things arose in that I have an ABM comfort kit on the bike and am using Renthal bars . Managed to workaround the problem and these guards can be removed in minutes should the need arise . I went to work this morning and instead of having my heated grips running at full whack , I had them on 25% power . What a difference these have made to Winter riding . I don`t care what they look like , they are staying on for Winter . One mate didn`t even notice they were there . Backs of hands were seriously toastier at 5:30 this morning having a blatt down the A55 to work

Well I'm sold!

I've been considering doing this for a while, sounds like it well worth it

IMO get some proper enduro ones with the big bar down the middle. Harder to fit, but they will save your levers in an offski.

This is more to do with keeping my hands warm , I had an off just after Xmas and the ball end came off the lever anyway but I still has a useable lever . Once the bad weather has gone these things will be coming off anyway .

Can you post some pics Badger? I have the ABM kit too and didn't think they would fit!

I've tried muffs, but they are too big and flappy, forever getting my hand stuck inside.

(Note U rating, the above does not refer to anything other than Oxford Muffs! )

I fitted a couple from ACERBIS, they're cheaper and IMO nicer.

Acerbis cheaper than £33 , blimey , and as I said , not bothered about the looks of them as they are on for the winter only and can be removed in seconds if need be
