Got the banger going and it has it's MOT on Friday. Apart affecting the handling do knobblies stick to the road ok? Are they ok in the wet or worse than a road tyre? I'm a bit nervous on the banger as it's a million miles away from the Daytona for feel (Handleabars are mounted on springs!)

i had a set of road going knobblies on the kwak and they were ok but compared to a road tyre not that great i'd say just go easy on it.

I had a set of road going knobblies on my 125, was good enough to scrape my toesliders on road when I had it cranked over.
They might feel a bit squidy or vague compared to road tyres, but I found there was plenty of grip in all conditions.

If they are "trailie" road legal type tyres, they will be no bother at all.
If they are road-legal "off-road" tyres ie proper knobblies............they feel horrible! The bike is constantly moving around on those big singular bits of rubber...... and then you get to a corner! ![]() Feels alien. But you will get used to it. Go easy or stick to the verge! ![]() ![]() |

They are proper knobblies with about a 1.5 or 2 cm tread depth. I'll take it easy and get proper tyres as soon as poss.
