Default CDI Magneto Wiring

I'm looking for some wiring help for my TZR. Bit of a long shot but maybe someone will have an idea

I've got 10 cables coming from the CDI magneto/Pick-up coil. Red, green and brown are going to the CDI unit. White/red and white/green also go to the CDI unit. I also have a blue and a black which have both been chopped. Where should they go?
Then there are the 3 white cables which go to the rec/reg. Does it matter which is which?

Have you got a wiring diagram for it?

Hmmm well stating if it's the 125 or 250 might help, for a start and if the 125 I believe it's the same engine as the DT125, from memory (and I'm stretching here) the generator (no it's not a magneto) pickup has only two wires coming out, but they joint with another two pairs these all go back to the ignition unit (yes I know the haynes call it a CDI), the three whites go to the reg/rec and should terminate in a plug which fits only one way.

that's about as much as I remember, but I'd check if I was you, it was a while back.

Cheers Mark.

Yeh I've got a diagram but there doesn't seem to be a blue or black coming from the magneto. It does show the three white cables but doesn't say if it matters if they are swapped. They don't have a connector on them because they have also been chopped
It's a 1989 TZR250 2MA. Here's the diagram
(1) rec/reg
(2) CDI Magneto
(9) CDI Unit
(10) Pick-Up Coil

Are you sure it's coming from the actual generator assembly? Could it be neutral light wires? That's a blue wire on my RD400E

No I'm not sure, but the 10 cables are all bunched together and come from that area. What do you mean neutral light?
Black is the neutral/earth on the rest of the bike's wiring

Have a look at the other end of the bunch and see where they are from.

Neutral light... that green thing that lights up in between 1st and 2nd gear

The neutral indicator light is (14) on the diagram so it doesn't seem to go directly to the magneto

No but the gear position switch could quite possibly be around the same area, on my yam the neutral indicator switch is a couple of inches behind the magneto/generator assembly, and the wire comes up in the same chunk of loom.

Easy test, pull the front sprocket cover off (or is it whole side-case?) and have a look.
