Default SV400 Exhaust.

Hi, I'm after a sports can for my SV400 but no where lists a can for the 400. Would a 650 can suite the 400?

Cheers Rob

I would imagine so, but take no responsibility if it doesn't!

As above, I'd be very surprised if it didn't, but the 400 being somewhat unusual I can't imagine many people have tried.
In your position I'd ask someone with a 650 to compare pipes, (ooerr!), look at the relevant positions and dimensions, assuming you discover the diameter of the pipe is the same, I'd be confident it will fit.

If I measured the diameter of the front down pipe on my 400 and then measured the downpipe off a 650, which i have in the shed, would that be good enough to say yeah a 650 can will do?

No measure the pipe that goes up into the can!

But then you've got to cut the original to try it...

Specifically; measure it where the collector will need to be cut, that is the fatter bit of pipe after the two pipes join - the bit under the right footrest that goes into the can.

Downpipe refers to each individual cylinder's bit of pipe before they join together.
