Hi All,
Been hunting around for reviews and prices for a new pair of tyres (120/70/zr17 front and 180/55/zr17 rear) Now i know that the avon storms seem to be the most popular on the forum but currently ive got dunlop d208's on my sv. I've got some prices to fit tyres from local places and the cheapest i can find so far is: storms £214 d208 £185 continental conti motion £175 Do these prices sound about right? first bike, so i'm not sure whether these are good prices or not. Also anyone had the conti motions? are they comparable to the d208s? if so would be happy with these cause i've found the d208s fine. Any advice welcomed Dan |

First of all, you won't get a 180 section tyre on a standard SV wheel! Correct size is a 160.
Second, £214 sounds a bit steep for Storms, I'm sure you could get them for around £190 ride in/out service (maybe less) Edit: From Busters a pair of Storms for the SV is £155. http://www.busters-accessories.co.uk...&tier3url=Avon Hovis how much does your bloke charge for fitting?

225 for the road smarts makes sense. Hovis any ideas how much it costs to fit over in pontypridd? any details for andy?? been looking at prices on m&p and busters - obviously i want them as cheap as poss but without getting totally cr4p tyres |

it depends what mood he is in, lol i think its about £25 all in (both wheels fitted, ride in ride out)
a guy in cearphilly charges £5 a wheel if you take the wheels, or £10 a wheel if he has to remove the wheels. but is real busy |
