Oh dear rowdys been a naughty boy!

So a couple of weeks ago I'm made to go in to work when I've been advised to rest by my local hospital, so rather than the usual journey to work by motorcycle I have to take the car.
Finish work that day in more pain than I started so I'm in a bad mood.
Get stuck behind a completely incompetent f*ckwit that was swerving around slamming his brakes on locking the wheels etc. (no I wasn't tailgating him) so at the next available opportunity I decided to get passed and out of the way of any possible danger from said c0ck.

Just had a visit from mr plod saying that I was spotted overtaking in a 40 limit (just coming into a 60 limit) and driving erratically. If only they had seen said idiot that I was trying to avoid.
So a slap on the wrist for me, apparantly the complaint was made by an off duty officer.

Oooops! At least it was just a slap on the wrist and nothing more. I decided years ago that when I come across drivers like that, I don't even trust them enough to pass them. I just hang back or take a different route as they annoy me so much and I don't want to overtake only for them to drive into the side of me or end up tailgating me when I'm in front.

Tis frustrating, I'd spent the whole day driving very steady, I'd even managed to get the average mpg on the company Touran up from 42 to 60mpg and the one time I squeeze the loud pedal in the car on the way home and I get a rap for it.

Not heard that one before Paul but yes, I agree although the sheriff did say it will go on record and that if I am reported again I will be in for more than a slap on the wrist, trouble is it was made to sound worse than it was.
Now call me paranoid if you will but the car isn't even registered in my name it's in the wifes name but the officer knew my christian name and that it was me that was driving, there is a member of the force that I went to school with that I don't particularly get on with and am wondering whether he grassed me up and elaborated the story.
Oh and the date of the offence, Friday the13th.

stop smoking crack and the paranoia/bad driving will go away ! Joking asside, take it nice & steady and you should be fine. Next time someone is driving like a nugget and you feel the need to overtake, call the non-emergency number and report it as dangerous driving, then overtake. If anyone makes a complaint, they'll already have logged your complaint against the other guy and it will all get very confusing
