Hello people

I'm new here after running a 125 SuperMoto for 6 months i passsed my test last week and pick up a custard yellow T reg 650s with restrictor tommorro.

I live in Chesterfield, Derbys and lookin to break into the biking scene gently.

I recon my first proper run (other than the comute to work) on t'bike will be next wed to MFN.

Any ideas where I can go before then to break in gently???

I'm not sure if Matlock is a good idea the day after i get me new bike.

Cheers
Rich

As long as you take it steady and ride within your limits any road will be fine, regardless of reputation. Its thinking that you're Rossi the day after getting your bike that will stick you in a ditch.

Welcome btw

There's loads of great roads where you are, just ride at a pace you're comfortable with and build up your speed and confidence gradually. Most importantly though, have fun!

Welcome, btw.

Welcome from just down the road. I'd just head out into the Peak if I were you. As others have said, just take it steady and build up your experience and confidence.
