This was an unlucky year for me, my bike crashed 3 times (2 times me rideing it, one time a friend) ... and I'm tired of getting the fairing repaired. So I desperatly need some frame sliders. The ebay is full of them, but I'm concerned about if they'll fit on my bike, since I have a fully faired SV. And even if they fit, will they be long enough, because my lower fairing is wider than the upper fairing, will they do any work in case of a crash?
Is the roomer true about the posibility of bending the frame with a frame slider in case of a crash? I'll post 2 pics of my bike to show how much wider is the lower fairing. ![]() ![]() So if any of you have an idea, please tell me. And sorry for the bad english ![]() Thanks, Alex |

Motosliders are regarded by some as the best Frame Protectors going , the added advantage here for you is that they are quite wide and they also have a bolt that goes all the way through the engine . I think these will be ideal for what you need ![]() Do not worry about your English , it is fine ![]() |

They'll protect your frame but i'm not sure about the fairing... they could bend back and crack it. But the frame's the big thing. They'll stop the road coming into contact with the fairing 90% of the time, they stick out quite a way.
Also with personal experience of dealing with Blair from SV racing, (link that Badger posted) i will say he's a decent guy and good to deal with ![]() |

Fairings are consumable. Motosliders will keep most of your bike off the deck. Mainly the expensive parts.

r and g have an engine through bar and save everything apart from the lowers but does only slightly damage.

I don't rate the R+Gs, the motosliders are a far superior and much cheaper product.

I've tried both. After my R+Gs folded nearly in half in a piddling little lowside I went to motosliders.
