Hi All

I need a replacement tank preferably in silver for a 2002 sv curvy mine lets in water near the top seals where you unlock it to put fuel in according to the garage.

Cheers Tony

They all do that guv'. What you have is a blocked drain tube.

ive had the blocked pipe sorted but apparently water is getting in around the seal at the top and he advised me to get a new tank? is there a good way of sealing the area with the allen key bolts etc?

Blow some WD40 down the tube and check it comes out of the bottom freely.

A healthy tank will leak fuel if it's on its side, if it were sealed then your engine would stop as there is no seperate breather tube.

Might be worth pulling the cap assembly and having a bit of a squirt round with some sealant.

Wait a second, if there is rust inside your tank from water getting in then it's a different story.
Did your bike ever sit up for a long time?
Ask the mechanic if this is the case.
If not just get a replacement cap of Suzuki or a twist style race cap off eBay.
