Looks like I'm getting a thou' - Lowers advice

Going to try it today. Unless I'm disappointed I'll probably be buying it.

At the minute it doesn't have lowers fitted and I'd quite like to get some. Phoned my local dealer today and they quoted £430 for a set. I have noticed some on ebay for £200 new but in a different colour (think they are from bandit mania). It says they are for a 650 but would also fit a thou'. Is this true?

Does anywhere know where else I could get them from, preferably a bit cheaper? I presume they are quite hard to come across second hand.

The lowers aren't same, thou is wider.

It's pink.

My Advice would be "DONT".

Get a Belly Pan instead

It definitely ain't pink, that pic looks a bit lighter than the bike actually is. It's actually quite a dark red. It ha a belly pan already fitted, just think I'd quite like lowers on it.

I thought I'd read somewhere that the lowers were different, just wasn't sure when I read that earlier on ebay.

I have a black 06 1000s which has lowers on at the moment.

Although pondering selling the bike as it is not being used due to not being able to get insurance to bring it to italy.

I have ridden it for 2 years but I am not keen on the lowers so if you want a set in black to paint or sticker up then maybe we could talk. (unless of course you want a complete black thou).

I could also do with a bellypan fitting kit as I have a black one for mine.
