Me and a few mates should be heading down to Plymouth to see a band next month and wondered where it is in relation to the rest of plymouth (ie is it a trek to get to some nice pubs/clubs/bars afterwards and also anyone know a decent cheap B&B near by?
Cheers, Ash. |

I know Plymouth well and there are a lot of good bars and cheap B&B's to be had (being a student City)
If you want a nice clean, cheap B&B try along the Hoe and towards Union street, but, dont go into Devonport or actually anywhere past or on Union Street itself, as after that it all gets a bit dodgy in Plymouth. You are right near the Breton Side bus station, and as such you are but a short walk from the pub 'The Breton Arms,' run by a good guy called Symon and his wife Linda (friends of mine from my Uni days.) In Plymouth you are never more then 5 minutes stumbling distance from a good pub. Happy hunting |

It is alright dude, never thought my knowledge of Plymouth would come in handy, ha ha.
I lived there for 3 years and know pretty much the whole area (still have mates down there.) Also, if you can avoid anywhere that has any naval symbols painted on their sign or inside (except the Breton Arms) as they usually have Navvies in there and they get rough after a few drinks... Try this link; http://www.bedandbreakfasts.co.uk/pr...outh#DBNB14975 and look at the 'Mount Wise House' £15 per person, per night... |

agree with what's been said - also lived in plymouth for several years in Uni down there. Suprisingly avoided the Navy places too, although i did work at the Naval Base down there for a year while on placement so couldn't avoid them then lol All in all they're not that bad a group of people, like most people some are cool some are w%^%ers
Gotta be said had some top nights out in Plymouth. Aint been down there for a while now but sure its still a good laugh |

If you not been there in the last 2 years then you might get lost up near Drake Circus now, ha ha |
