Never taken any one pillion before properly, round a farm and car park for a laugh but not on the road, because no one that saw me riding thought they would live. Any advice? One of the lasses i've been trying to persuade asked me to pick her up this week so any advice :] thanksss

None? Just accelerate more smoothly, brake using the rear brake more and turn much more slowly and smoothly.... it'll feel more stable in the corners but the front will feel a bit lighter... add some preload on the back..

Talking from experience in the last 2 days, ride very smoothly, accelerating, braking, cornering.
When braking grip the tank with your legs it helped me massively, got that advice off the org and it is very much appreciated. After a while the pillion should kinda know when the twoing and frowing is gonna happen and they can prepare for it. After a while you hardly notice ![]() |

DON'T SCARE THE **** OUT OF HER!
Make smooth steady progress and if she's never been on a bike before, she'll be well impressed with the way the bike can easily pass other traffic. If you try to show her how fast your bike is and she's scared sh1tless, she'll never want to get on a bike again, and as said, you won't get laid. If she enjoys it and wants to go on the bike again and again, who knows how many times you might get laid! |

Don't try to filter through small gaps like you would when going solo & use the back brake as well as front for better slow control/comfort for her.

Just don't forget that she's on the back, it's easily done lol.
If you're going to filter, maybe explain to her what you'll be doing when you get to traffic. I remember being shocked first time we went between 2 lines of traffic, not because of YC's riding, just because I wasn't aware he would, tis a tad unnerving the first couple of times. I was so paranoid he was gonna bash mirrors off and clip my legs lol! And make sure there's some sort of code going, especially a "stop stop im petrified" tap/shove ![]() |

Add a turn to the rear preload.
Take it easy. so watch your pulling off the line and slow corners as these are hell if the girl doesnt know what they are doing and the bike is alot heavier. Break ealier and more progressively as they will just slide into you otherwise. Try to tell them to lean with you and hold on / not be affraid of the lean as this can make life very hard and dangerous in the corners. best tip - dont ask them out a week later... they will never get off the bike after that, and dont tell mothers as they dont approve. |

Make sure shes reasonably kitted up.
Don't want a off with a bird in a lid, trackies, a top and some nice shoes on do you? Her mother would not be impressed. |

Plus you wouldn't want to bonk a bird who looked like an uncooked burger would you?
