So he's using a picture that's probably been posted on a public forum. I don't see what the problem is?

Agreed. I kind of make the assumption that if I post something somewhere even photo hosting there is a slim chance someone might use it, and as long as they are not claiming it as their own or making money from it, it's no biggie.

In this case you could argue the guy is using it to sell something for profit, BUT we have all (well many of us) found pics of things on vendor's sites when new and said 'it's the same as this' or something?

The violin posted by the OP is IMO too large. It should be this size .

I'd be more worried if he was claiming that the bike was his and was for sale..

wouldn't worry about it - 4dsports used to use a photo of one of my tattoos for years on their website they found on a forum somewhere - i kinda liked it !

If you're that upset about it then report it to ebay? Or, even contact the seller direct and ask them why they are using your image without your permission?

Well if you read the advert, he is using the SV as an "example" of a bike the belly pan would fit. I guess not everyone knows what bike is what..

Kay I will ask him, just was weird.. I don't do ebay much so that's why I asked on here, I'll send him a message.
