Old threads but relevant. Draggins are great in summer, been wearing them for around four years now. As has Im Indoors.
Could also recommend Halvarssons fokker pants, he has a pair of these.. Heavier weight cotton twill than the Draggins, similar price, and kevlar is pocketed IIRC for armour.
And no they aren't a 'textile' trouser.

I have a pair, found them to be warmer than vented leathers but they were nice not being skin tight...

I "tested" them by sliding along the road with the bike on top of my leg, they're a little scuffed but structurally sound and good to go

Definitely wouldn't want to have a full on crash in them instead of leathers, but for nipping to the shops or out or dinner they're comfy and won't attract odd looks as you walk around at your destination

Article about them in this months Ride mag. 14 times stronger than denim, and stronger than some cheap leathers, allegedly.

I bought the Dainese kevlar jeans last month, no pocket for armour but very very comfy.

I've got a pair of RED ROUTE kevlar jeans.

I dont feel as safe as when I'm wearing my leathers or even my textiles but I know they will be better in an off than just a pair of jeans.
They are heavier than normal jeans and warmer than my leathers but for running about in town or nipping out to the pub for a meal they are great.
Nothing is worse than sitting down to eat in a set of leathers!

I paid about £100 for mine but to be honest, I wouldnt want to depend on them.

If your going for a ride, wear leather.
If you nipping to the shops, kevlar jeans are the minimum I would wear.

yes know what your saying, im a bugger for wearing jeans or combats cant be doing with leathers in this weather if im going the pub or whatever, people who have had off's in kevlar jeans have had nothing bad to say they seem to do the job, i ride differently when im wearing jeans not nesassarily slower just more cautious which is no bad thing i find that i feel invincible when ive got full leathers on which i know is a bad thing, getting a pair this week anyway and hopefully not going to be testing them out anytime soon or ever....

What about armour? I bought mrs smelly a pair recently and there is no armour. I cant see any pockets inside that they slip into, as I have a spare set from some old textiles to I thought I could use
