Default AR 09 Ride Down

I'm sure there has been one of these threads in the past few months on here. I've looked through and done a search but not found anything.

Is anyone going down? Where from? Motorways or B roads? Fancy meeting up as i may come down for it now, as i've not done one before...

May have to plan some routes with a nice place to meet up on the way down then as i'll be going from Sutton Coldfield, not Notthingham...

I'll have a play about on Google maps first. Do you know of any heading down that way Davie???

Not as yet.

Once you have a rough plan, then maybe post a link in the pennine massive section,
There may be a few takers there

How far east or west will you be heading down, if that makes sense. Just trying to get an idea of where my path is likely to meet your path so we can gauge a good meet point.

I've not thought about it much yet (suprise)

Sutton Coldfield's not that far, so if you can plan any route you like and I may join you from there.

The Wife has just informed me that her train is due to depart from Derby station at 6.10 on Friday the 31st, so after I get back home it's playtime

Well i may be in Nottingham that morning so can meet you there for a more direct route if you like. We can do a nice little route back towards Bassets Pole then start from there or head across to Meton Mowbray and do the B6047 on our way down.

But at the minute i'm just planning on Google Maps from Sutton. I don't know many nice roads as i've not been down South much. It's more a case of me seeing what looks twisty on Google...

as history dictates, you are a planner of good routes
so any route you chose will be good for me
but don't forget the route back

Ok, for anyone heading down from the Midlands area, i'll be doing this route.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sour...6,3.273926&z=8

The more the merrier i say, and i hope you'll join me. I've got Friday off and will be leaving Bassets Pole sometime just before/after lunch so i have plenty of time to get down there at my own pace...

Don't be shy, if we've never met, i won't bite.
