Default Aprilia Dorsoduro 750 - Thoughts?

Anyone ridden one, considering it as a second bike next year maybe.

Advantages:
  • Looks nice,
  • Sounds Awesome (and better with new cans),
  • Seems comftable,
  • Its a supermoto (i have always wanted one, reason i got my licence pretty much)
  • 92 Bhp
  • Group 11 Insurance
  • Top Speed: 130-135
  • Its an aprillia
  • Its a twin
  • £6000 new, i want one for about 4000 max really, so maybe have to wait for a bit.
  • I WANT ONE

Disadvantages:
  • wind protection is non existent
  • Tank range 100 miles.
  • Price, still expensive especially for a second bike!!
Thoughts?

Plenty of info there and a good place to ask questions should you need to.

They do look great and sound nice. Not the most powerful bikes out there but they dont need to be. Only thing that would be annoying would be the shocking tank range! Urg.

Would be a good 2nd bike though id guess.

Best thing to do? go get a test ride!

Cheers, cant test ride as im still on the restirction.

They dont put out as much power as the other supermotos but they are so much cheaper to insure and there is not alot in it top end. 5-10 mph.
I guess you will notice it most through the gears.

I want a 990 but i would never get insured as they are group 15 and alot more money.

So this is basically a shiver supermoto (?)
My mate recently upgraded from a faired pointy to a naked bike, he doesn't complain.

The numers look v. good, in my opinion 90bhp is just right, at least for me. And it's a 90 degree Vtwin
Yes, tank rang is crap, but it's only a 12l tank.

Check out the link to AF1.

If it's any help I tested one back to back against my SV 650 (GSXR suspended, standard engine plus exhaust and PC3, 75bhp at the rear wheel). The Aprilia was fastest in a straight line (just) but the SV out-handled, out braked and over a given distance out-performed it. Without a doubt the Aprilia looks brilliant, but you can't see it when you're riding it...
