Default oxford heated grips relay

Ok after having a slight issue with a flat battery and my grips being "off" im going to wire them up through a resistor. Wheres the best"easiest" place to take a feed from for the relay?

If you wire them correctly through an ignition switched live, there's no need for resistors or relays. I tapped off the fused side of the horn feed wire to fit mine.

Well i wanted them to be on a relay so if they do have any problems its not going to effect something else on the bike.

I wired mine straight off the battery and have never had a problem, maybe it's something else thats causing your flat battery.

The rear tail light.

See it all laid out here: http://www.canyonchasers.net/shop/generic/relay.php

Enjoy.

Good morning.

I prefer to wire such accessories as heated grips through a fused relay, as this ensures that the operating current comes straight from the battery, & adds another level of protection.

As the main live comes from the battery, & ther other live to the relay is only there for operating it, you can wire it into any circuit that is live with the ignition switched on. Avoid annything to do with the ignition system itself, & chose something like the feed to the rear brake light switch, or as suggested the tail light feed. If using this then obviously your grips will only work when the lights are on.

Cheers.
