Hi Guy's,
Seem to have developed a running issue on the bike, it's recently been serviced and was taken for a bit of a run, but it started backfiring and generally running very poor. At the moment it's having the tank drained, new fuel filter fitted and the carb's cleaned out. Having looked in the tank, it doesn't appear to be in the best condition internally, looks a little rusty. Is there away other than just flushing with fresh fuel to clean it out? |

take it off put a bit of fuel in it, swill it out empty and repeat to make sure theres no more rust coming out.

I am having similar problems, had a wee rust bubble on outside of tank (at bottom above seam) for a while but it has now rusted right through and is seeping fuel! I have been told that it can be sealed and prepped up and painted by bike paints (think they are in Fife), but dont know whether this will reappear. I have yet to ask their advice but will do. Any advice anyone?
