Default out of hospital.

hello everyone i have been in hospital the last 6 days after a acident i had last thrusday on the way back from my sisters in gorton.

after a right hand turn a young lad walked out into the middle of the road without looking i tried to avoid him but just clipted him with my right handle bar . which sent me into a wobble and head on into the road side barrier which i flipped over.

when i opened my eyes and stood up i fell right back down as my knee gave way and i lay on the floor in serious pain, a few seconds later a man comes over and takes hold of my hand and tells me an ambulance is on the way ..... and he calmed me down .... after a few minutes i sat up and asked where is the lad and the man said he got up and ran off.

the ambulance came and took me away to hospital .....

got to A & E and a doctor said my knee is dislocated and popped it back in place and then i went for a x ray to find i had also broken my knee cap ......

so on Friday i had an operation and had a cast put on so i don't bend my knee ....

i am only FPTT so i am going to have to pay for all damages my self ....

i haven't been and looked at my bike yet but my dad showed me some pictures and i think the front forks are bent .... petrol tank is seriously damaged .... handle bars .....I'm going to go and have a look soon and i will post some pictures ....

so going to need some help getting my pride and joy back on the road from you guys .... im really upset ...

Who IS the current chairman(person) of the Wonky Knee Club - does it currently default to Rictus?

Glad to see you posting, could have been worse.

Bikes are just metal and plastic and rubber at the end of the day.

el presidente here
first glad your alright mate thats the most important thing
then sorting out the basics are important ,these range from engauging your sickness cover (every biker should have this) to sorting transport to hospital.
after all that then worry about the bike (cos be honest it aint going anywhere) recovery , storage costs could be expencive so get a family member on to it (knew mine would be handy one day )
as for sorting out the bike as you and others can testify i have rebuilt a frontend or 20 after offs so any help you need at all hindy mate just call and i'll do whatever i can mate (i'll pm you my digits if you dont have 'm already)
make sure you look after the knee properly to get back on asap i speak to ya soon bruv
dave

gsxr front end may be the way ahead turn a negitive into a positive

i hope you have a quick recovery, don't worry too much about your bike, like it's been said above it can be fixed/replaced - but you coming out of this alright is far more important.
