Yep measure twice cut once.
Put a towel or a piece of cardboard over the swingarm to protect it Be very careful you dont saw through your heel plates. Make sure your haxsaw has a new or decent blade in it. Just take your time and dont rush it, cutting the original exahust is much less daunting than it actually sounds... |

awsome!! my SV is coming back from the mech's tomorrow with a nice new k&n, renthal sprokets and chain, and when she get's back she'll have a bit more cosmetic surgery to look forward too. i've treated her like **** for the last 7 years so i owe her that much.

Half an hour tops and that will include making yourself a coffee to listen to the bike gargle without an exhaust on at all...

Cover everyting in cardboard, my hacksaw slipped a lot when i was starting the cut and could have caused some nasty scratches. Mark the pipe with tape but dont worry too much about a straight cut as it will be covered by the new exhaust
PS I am jealous, that's the exhaust I want but I can't afford it ![]()
