Default Helmets - Raining

Ridoing home this evening and got caught in the rain and my visor just doesn't take to dealing with this rain, and I find I'm trying to ride with the visor all the way up getting rain in my face.

The visor is pinlock prepared, but that's not going to stop the rain streaks. Any remedies or fluids I can place on my visor to help visability while riding in the rain?

Thanks.

Before you rush off and spend money try giving it a gentle smear with raw washing-up liquid then wipe it with a clean cloth.
I do this and just swivel my head to the side and the rain water runs off.
I have never yet found anything that is any good in light drizzle so just wipe the visor with my glove.

So are you saying that it mosts up, or that the water leaks down between the lid and the visor? If the latter, then its the seal at the top on the visor (Well thats obvious) and i would make sure that the visor is mounted properly. If it is, pack out the seal with some insulating tape or similar to see if this keeps it at bay. If you have a pinlock, there should be no reason to open you visor. As for the outside, i use a Xerox product which is pretty darn good. I had limited succcess with rainX

To make the rain run off, I am now a convert to helmet polish. Keep your helmet and visor clean, then polish both regular with a specific helmet polish. Rain just slides off the visor making riding in the rain much easier. Drizzle / mist can be got rid off the visor with a brief shake of the head. The only way to get rid of spray / traffic film is to wash it off, although the polish certainly helps keep it clear for longer.

I have a piece of old windscreen wiper superglued on the side of my waterproof gloves - that works a treat.
