Hi ,
My son has a 1997 golf which he wants me to sell , thinking of putting through auctions as he needs a quick sale and don't need the hassle of people coming round

positives :
red with allows a real looker
low mileage 82 k
good condition

bad :
tax out End of month
MOT out Nov
Its a cat C

what do u recon its worth as have no idea ?

Car insurance out end of month , tax out end of month really don't to spend this as car not used and will stand unused most of the winter ...

Do you recon if I tax for 6 month and MOT for 12 months it will make much of a difference , trouble is that that will cost me approx 150 quid

Would a p reg golf , cat C every be worth say £500 ?

My gut feeling its best just to bang it into the auction now .?

Is it the lack of long MOT or the Cat C which is casuing the low price ?

i'd stick it through a mot and see what if anything it needs-cost dependant-if you get it mot'd i'd stick it on the bay with a buy it know of 800-don't bother with tax mate-if it needs to much stick it on ebay asap with a reserve -include your 30 quid costs
