Default Some pics from Anglesey

Some pics from my 1st ever track day, at Anglesey. Unfortunately the photographer was not around for the last session, where I binned it!

Mate, that was my 1st EVER track day and you'd be surprised how easy it is once you get going quick and with the camber on the track to help you.

It was a great sunny day which helped and there were instructors there to give you 1-2-1 tuition/de-briefs if you wanted them.

I was grinding my pegs something rotten in the morning sessions and wanted to lean off more to get my knee down. One of the instructors listened to my issues then followed me on a session. Gave me advice afterwards then came out again to watch me.

I got my knee down on nearly every corner after that and actually felt more confident hanging off with my knee down, then being stuck to the bike getting the pegs down.

I think the photographer must've packed up early because I had loads of KD moments towards the end.

I got even lower down on the last session when I leaned over too far on the 1st lap (cold tyres) and slid right off on the hairpin.

Whole day was immense fun!

Which hairpin mate? 2nd corner, dodgy banking, didn't realise how bad it was until Flymo walked us round the track.

Last right hand corner on the run down to the pit straight, it was the International GP circuit. Highlighted below

Ah gotcha, didn't get to see that section because I think it was shut up. Too much angle and cold tyres then?

I guess so, I'd just gone up the inside of a guy on a Gixer, outbraked him into the turn and then tucked it in, just as I got around the apex I had JUST started accelerating and the bike just slid right out. Luckily I slid across to the edge of the track and the bike slid out to the grass.

Unluckily, the guy on the Gixer must've hit the anchors when he saw me go down and he ended up with a suspected disclocated shoulder and his bike was a bit more of a mess than mine I think .

Wouldn't put me off another TD, although the wife isn't happy that it's another £100 or so to fix up the bike
