i'am thinking of buying my 1st set of leathers but would like to know the following:
1, which is best 1 piece or 2 piece? 2, do you wear normal clothes underneath? if so do the sizes take this into consideration or do you buy chest size etc as measured when fully clothed? cheers ![]() |

1 or 2 piece both have their benefits. I prefer a 1 piece as its comfire and the wing doesnt get in anywhere and offers more protection, 2 piece are generally cooler and easier to use on a day to day basis. You can wear undies or go commando under your leathers. I usually wear a thin baselayer as its easier to get in and out, also stop sweaty balls from sticking to the insides. Go into your local store and try on a few different makes and sizes (bear in mind if you want to wear a back protector or other armour you need to have a little more space underneath. sizing and cuts vary quite a bit from different makers. hope that helps. |

I have 2 piece, wish I had one piece.
The zip has had a fair bit of use and no longer really hlds them together very well which is annoying.

![]() Pleasure ![]() Something also worth thinking about is how often you will be wearing them off the bike. If your going to bike meets etc, then a 2 piece can be more user friendly. As I have already said I wear a 1 piece and usually end up at meets with the top hanging down past my waist where I have taken them off. The best of both worlds would be to get both but this can be very costly. |

i wear a 2 piece and wear full clothes under as well, leather stretches enough, best when you turn up to a bike meet on a warm summer day you can take your jacket off. but still have the warmth in winter.

I wear textiles
![]() I believe some tracks will not allow riders with two-piece suits, therefore that may also need to be a consideration, if you're planning on heading to a track any time in the not-so very distant future. |

I wear a one piece too and from work. I comfortably wear my shirt and trousers underneath my suit. Would only buy another suit from now on, be warned tho they can give you a bit of extra confidence.
