Hiya again all
![]() I'm currently gathering parts for a k1 gsxr 600 front end and am currently searching for brake calipers. I've seen these on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUZUKI-GSXR-K1...d=p3286.c0.m14 I'd thought originally that only the standard Tokicos or hyper-dosh Brembo ones would fit the k1 forks and I'm a bit suspect about this ad (they call them radial brakes?! ![]() The ad claims they were taken off a k3 gsxr 600 Cheers! ![]() |

They are not stock.
Maybe they will fit though. Ask for hole-centre separation distance. But no bleedin way would I pay 110 English Pounds for a set of calipers!

If they're anodised, ace. Far fewer problems with siezing pistons etc. which are absolutely endemic to the older range of tokicos.

They are all tokico as stock. Nissin was on some of the old oil-boiler stuff previously but that is the previous type, same shape as the GSXR-SRAD. Those are black with "webbed" type castings.
These look like h*nda SP1 or fireblade RR3 ones. If they'll fit, cool.

Wonder if they are better/worse than the tokicos. Funny he's saying they came off a GSXR

Hey if they fit, nice one. There is the chance that they happen to be the same. The holes look to be in roughly the same place, they look the right shape. Just depends on the details.
Depends what the gold finish is, if it's paint, then probably they're about the same. But if it's anodising, then bingo. Baby cagivas get the brembo stuff, they are anodised calipers with PTFE coated pistons and they're ace. Minimal problems with seizing up.
