I was under the impression pro footballers were banned from bikes. Understandable when you think of the investment made to develop there guys, even a small off could be enough to end their career.

Les Ferdinand had a Harley when he was playing and I'm sure I read somewhere that Shaun Wright-Phillips (Man City legend ) has 1 too. Bit I suspect most are not allowed to ride one under their contracts.

i remember reading some old article about a footballer when he retired and he said the thing he was most looking forward to was riding his fireblade that he bought when he was still playing. he seen it in the shop and fell in love so bought it, but couldnt ride it until he retired becasue of his contract.

did shaun wright philips not do a charity bike ride in the last year or so with a fellow player?

get well soon carlos!

He did indeed. Just found a link. Appears he has a trike as his contract doesn't allow him on 2 wheels
