A mate of mine has just bought a Cagiva Raptor(thou) 51plate,mint condition,10500mls £2500 from a dealer(is that good?).

Tbh i don't know much about them(neither does he lol)he just likes that kind of ride,seating position etc.

So knowing that you have first hand experience of them(ive read you raving about em)is there any kind of advice you can offer for me to pass over to him?ie,does & dont,s.....good/bad points.....strengths/weaknesses.

I know I'm not blonde... but all engine and EFI is from TL so go on TLzone or similar for that lot.

Best place to be is the Raptor Chaptor mate. Tlzone can give you some info for sure....But teh Raptor Chaptor are the experts. A fountain of knowledge. The Raptor is an entirely different animal to the TL...its only the engine thats anything to do with that. You can't put TL pipes on it for instance.

2.5k is a good price for the year etc...is it a nakid or a VRap?


If you really want first hand knowledge give Carnivore a PM....and I'll nudge him to keep looking in his inbox, as he doesn't have much internet access since he moved out.

However I can say theres one nice VRap sat in my shed still...mwahahahaha!

Top bannana,cheers for thatdon't really think theres anything inparticular that he wanted to know(only like the little things i stated above(oh btw its a naked).

He'll have lots of fun...I'm positive of that. They ain't no lardy old TL for starters. The lump of engine was downtuned for more torque, and everything designed around that, smaller, shorter, lighter etc etc..... it handles much much better.

One thing to watch is the rear brake....its a barstool to bleed, theres a bit of a knack, read that as a lot of a knack!.
Matts had his for two and a half years now, and its not honestly given him much trouble...just a whole load of fun.

That's been the only issue with kitkats Raptor as well, I'm still thinking of fitting a different m/c and caliper although that will involve geting a new caliper bracket made up.

You wouldn't believe how much brake fluid has been through that this summer...well actually scrap that, you know its gallons!
