Default What's wrong with fork gaiters?

Can someone explain why we dont use fork gaiters? Alright I know they went out of fashion but colour matched ones dont look bad and stanchions are so hard/expensive to repair.

Depends on your personal taste, I'd rather go for black gaiters than coloured

For this time of year gaiters do have their uses, and don't look too bad IMHO

nothing wrong with them at all. Better than rusty or chipped forks. They should make zip on ones for winter.

The only problem that I have ever had with popular neoprene gaters is dirt getting into them and messing up the fork legs. I prefer the traditional type.
Upper legs can be lubricated without every bit of junk sticking to them. I guess that is out of fashion too.
