Default Adjusting a chain

Hi,

i can't remember if you remove the split pin and undo the big nut or just loosen the small nut and wind the other small nut until in the correct position?

Loosen the big nut first, adjust with the bolt after cracking the lock nut. Tighten the lock nut, tighten the big nut, check chain slack.
