Somone tried to kill me today

So I go for a bit of a bimble this afternoon, looked a lot warmer than it was.

Nearly home and I reach a red light with a long line of cars and slowly filter to the front.

The first car at the lights, a fiesta driven by a middle aged lady with one of them stupid bluetooth things on her head, isn't too happy that I am sat alongside her and is determined I am not going to get in front.

She looks over at me and before the light is even green light floors it to try and beat me off the lights. Now I probably reacted wrongly by staying alongside her and going about the same speed but there is traffic about 10 yards ahead and I know as soon as we hit this I will just filter past her. After the lights is a narrow one way street which goes off to the right.

So I am still alongside her and I know I should have just backed off but I was annoyed at how petty this lady was, trying to get in front of me when it was obvious as soon as we hit the next line of traffic I will get past her ayway.

So we carry on side by side for about 20 yards and then she swerves at me, causing me to slam on the brakes and nearly hit the kerb. I regain composure and by this thime she has (as expected hit the tail of the queue of traffic and I smugly filter past)

I mean I know I wasn't completely in the right but she could have killed me and if I had mounted the kerb probably a pedestrian.

In hindsight I should have stopped and had a word with her but I would have probably done something I regretted.

Anyway, just needed to get that rant out of the way. I'll be more careful when filtering from now on.

Yes she was petty, but as you say you knew that as soon as she/you hit the next line of traffic you will filter past anyways....was it worth being persistant that you wanted to be in front?

I don't get what they're problem is. They're all warm, burning their money away in their cars whilst we're freezing cold, getting home as quick as poss. Silly mare.

i had a similar experience in august excpet the only option was to hit a traffic light, i chose the car.... came off damage free but with a bruise, he had a massive 6" dent and scratch in his door, person wouldn't stop even tho i boxed him in and chased him 3 times to get him to............ police threw out all charges even tho i had a witness willing to go to court and threatened to prosecute me for criminal damage as the offender said i kicked his door in..... which i did and i can honestly say it was 100% worth it

Playing silly buggers in a car or on a bike just isn't worth it.

I do alot of miles on the road and have seen some ****, there is alot of crazy stressed out people out the that won't think twice about driving into you then kicking the **** out of you or worse. I've seen it first hand.

I listen to relaxing music and let people get on with it nowdays.
