Default 33bhp ecu or F1 International kit?

hi all,
Now my sv650s sk6 what i purchased 3weeks ago is still sat in the garage unriden by me and now its getting really frustrating especially when the sun makes an occasional appearence like today. Now the problem is that i cant find a second hand 33bhp ecu anywere for it they are like gold dust. i have come accross one in 3weeks and when i rang to enquire on the same day it was advertised it had already being sold. I was prepared to purchase a new one but when my local dealer said it would cost £500+ then it was a no no. so my only option is getting the f1 international kit fitted which would cost me £220 fitted by a garage. so does anyone know how the sv runs with this fitted and what it it like compared to the ecu restriction. like i said i would prefer the ecu so if anyone has one for sale or know where i could purchase from then that would be a massive help

thanks Ash

STAY AWAY FROM THE FI KIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i can't stress this enough, it makes it run like crap and is overpriced to hell for what it is, do not waste your money and the bike, have paitence and get an ECU.

How old are you? If you're 21 or over then I'd recommend putting the money towards the direct access course.

My pointy is ECU restricted, she still pulls hard and has good manners, but struggles above 90mph. Also I don't have to worry about engine damage because it is just tuned for low end power. Lovely.

Keep an eye out on E-Bay etc. I got mine for £16 + £5 postage.

If you have That kind of cash to spend go for big bike test.

Bargin! I paid £50 inc postage for mine I believe.

I've got both, but the FI Kit remained OFF as the previous owner stated running too rich.

unless F1 have changed to a throttle stop restriction kit then go with a ECU change

its the washers that do that, not the throttle stop, nearly all IL4 bikes use throttle stop plates alone and are fine as they have no adverse side affects to the ECU, mabey a little less performance than carbs with restriction washers
