Will I appear Really ungrateful if

I asked my (friendly) director to PX my year old purchased Company pick up currently doing 21mpg and costing me £230 a month in diesel for a same age same millage focus diesel estate.

It would save me over £100 in fuel and would be cost natural to px?

Pick up isnt used for the company, its a perk of mine as it where, and the other downside is I chose it 9 months ago damn not forecasting worse case scenario.

lumping it won't be a problem, its just I cant use it for long journeys as it is so expensive to run

Work out what the companies class 1A NIC would be on both vehicles (that's if you are P11D on it), the cost of px and any other cost the company may face.

If all your figures mean you save money for the company and yourself go for it!

errr No idea how to work out their NIC for supplying me the truck or car, my tax will be higher on the car so does that mean their NIC will be?

They dont pay any fuel so I wont be saving them money i don't think?

Yes if the cars cash equivalent is higher for the new vehicle then you will pay more tax on it and the company will pay a higher class 1a NIC at the end of the year. The percentage I beleive is 12.8% which is applied to all benfits which attract Class 1A NIC

If you get paid work mileage the company will only save if the CC is different or different fuels to the old one. That's if they use HMRC's fuel guidelines

I did a while ago and was told no one has their millage paid here, I said ok and moved on.
Was supposed to be discussed at our reviews end of march but I dont see them happening.

if you asked for it in the first place then id think you were taking the **** in askin for a change.

So did you not check the mpg of the pick up truck before you chose it or do they just lie in the brochure?
