Yup the snow plough on the back is usuaully the first thing to go when people customise thier bikes.
First off where abouts are you from? I assume its th UK with mention of it been "a 57 plate" but you never know.

As for reccomending a tail tidy, no idea mate as far as Im aware they're fundamentally all the same. Get yourself on ebay and see if you can pick one up from there.

In fact thats the cheapest legal one available on a buy it now.

Going on the assumtion it is the UK then the "letterbox" type plate you desire is illegal its classed as a show plate. LEGALLY you're required to use a plate the same size as the one it leaves the dealer with, but most get away with a plate 1inch shorter and smaller than the standard ones, provided you dont mess with the font size too much.

WOAH! Cardiff as in WALES? that makes everything different. Keep you're plate legal mate welsh police LOVE illegal plates, its a quick £60 fine when ever they fancy it. Get a tail tidy but keep to the standard size plate mate it'll save you a fortune + on a tail tidy they dont look half as bad.
