If it's the sport model in your pic then do handguards go on OK? Loads of nakeds use them but I can't picture them on a faired bike.....

+1 red herring, the fairings foul the hand guards, better gloves is the best option.

Or soft handlebar muffs, but they're not exactly the coolest accessory to fit (no pun intended).

They do? My hand guards fit fine - they touch the fairing at full lock but not enough to cause any damage or handling issues. And the only time I use full lock is when hauling the bike about anyway.

They don't provide as much wind protection as you'd imagine though.

What brand of Hand Guards did you get?
Or where from?

PM Kilted Ginger, has has hand guards on his bike. I THINK (!) they are the ones off the VStrom 650 and fit straight on.

They do fit, but they are tight, and do foul the front cowl/clock surround on full lock, but I didn't think it was a problem.

Went for a MOT, it is classed as a MOT fail as it restricts full movement of the bars or something like that. I got away with an advisory, but just a wee word of advice when going for a MOT with them on.

And no, the wind protection they offer isn't that great, wrong angle and the tips of you're fingers stick out the bottom. But is still an improvement over none.

They come from a DL650 (v-strom) and are available from you're local dealers.
