Default Puncture repair?, (yet again).

Just got a nail right in the centre of my new Dunlop sportmax 160/60/ZR17. It's only 200 miles old.
I understand that £100 for a new one is what some people may advise..
However i have read many peoples opinions saying that a repair in the centre of a tyre is fine.
My local garage says that they can repair it for £22, reputable guy best in the area.
What your guys opinions ??

Good evening all.

Providing the nail has not entered the tyre at an odd angle, & that the repair is with a mushroom type plug, then it'll be ok to repair it.

Cheers.

The nail has entered the tyre dead straight, right in the centre of the tyre. Not in a "groove" of the tread. but on the smooth part...
Just didnt want to have to be worrying when doing 70 on the motorway...
I used to repair car tyres in with "mushroom" type patches in my old job, i asked on here because i am fairly new to bikes and wanted to know that a repair is ok..

provided the tyre is removed, and a permanent repair put in from the inside, then it'll be completely fine. I've happily done thousands of miles on my own, 2 up, and more than one track day like this.
