Default Ohlins front springs- which ones?

Jumping on the band waggon of front end q's

Just needing to know if anyone has used them,
whats the best compression weight (will be shot as that aint the correct termo) for a 14 stone rider (minus gear).

Also best place to buy them as i'd be getting them done at local mechanics

Spring rate I'd suggest 0.85 or 0.9 kg/mm (might be expressed as 8.5 or 9.0 N/mm)

Racetech have a calculator here

It's because you need to start by selecting the bike. I don't think you can link directly to the calculator. If you go here:

http://old.racetech.com/evalving/menu/searchstreet.asp

Pick your bike and then on the next page click on the red link that says

"Custom Fork and Rear Shock Spring Calculation..."

at the top of the page, you'll get the calculator.

Have ridden a bike with the hangon internals and felt no different at the front with 0.85 kg/mm and 15w oil.
and ohlins are about £18 more than hagons

Ohlins/K-Tech both worth checking out. If setup correctly will make a difference to feel and support in the fork. Id always recommend Linear over Progressive, such as Hagon etc as the damping stays more constant throughout the stroke of the fork, rather than getting firmer as the fork starts to compress. Due to most riders using not as much of the fork as they think on the road, the linear gives the better feel.

I can supply either, we are a K-Tech centre aswell as Ohlins. Can do you 10% on them also as an Org member. Just drop me a PM.

Semi wet - mm poss close to 185-190kg. Minitwins in race spec are between 165-175kg.
