Quick question after buying a very expensive 1/2" ratchet on line from snap on. (Think £100+) the thought occurs.
Is it cheaper to buy from the man with a van or does he charge the same as the official price from the on line site?

Depends how well you know the man-in-the-van,bigger amount purchased the bigger discount I could get.
Tim,do you know anybody that works for BA as they get new tool kits[Stahwille] frequently, every thing from a torch to preset torque wrenches. Absolutely nothing wrong with then just they replace them incase a bit of metal flake should go into what ever the job is they are working on. I managed to acquire 1/4-3/8-1/2-1/1 sockets metric and a/f sets up to 48mm plus pliers, cutters circlip pliers hammers mallets the whole shooting works for a tin of biscuits at tea time------probably about £2-3grands worth. Ideal for in the garage at home. |
