Lets hear yours , after youve heard mine...

Monday 4pm , conditions good, i go round Vauxhall one way , under the bridge , heading south to Stockwell, i cross the traffic to get in left hand lane...the red lights are on, i touch the front brake and....wham...the bike washes out, im spat off and land in the middle of the road under a stationary vans rear tyre....i get up , feel ok , walk back to see WTF ...theres a perspex sheet in the road, exact shape of a reg plate, must have fallen off and was sitting there...i just happened to hit the brake just when my front was on it ........thats a freak....

today my back hutrs at the cocyx ( wish i could spell my fave word !!!) dk how that happened...the bike - no worries for the sturdy Kwak !)

OK - can anyone beat it , or equal it for a strange/ unlucky one?

I was following a guy on his new ZX10 (the original one) at "spirited" pace in Northumberland in Late Spring on my VF500 F2.

He was ahead by about 80 yards when I saw him go straight through a hedge into someone garden on a tight right hander.

I hit the brakes to slow down to help him, changed lines and hit the same pile of road salt he had and went through the same hole in the hedge.

We were lying next to each other with the Man who owned said garden looking in disbelief as he tended his flower beds.

If I hadn't slowed to help him I'd have never hit the salt and wouldn't have gove through the hedge.

And none of the other 10 bikers we were with stopped to help!

Ironically his bike broke down the hedge and had a tiny crack in the fairing. Mine, went through the hole he left and needed a new to fariing.

Karma got it wrong that day

Well not so much the accident but the events afterwards left me mortified! when i was 17 I had a yamaha DT 125r and on my way to work along a single laned bypass slow moving traffic about 25mph I got ready to overtake did my lifesaver and took a double glance at an advertisment truck (to read the advert!) when I looked where I was going I hit the car infront as it had slowed, luckily I only hit the tow so no damage to the car, I however went straight over the bars catching the crown jewels on the handlebar as i went over, needless to say, very embaressing and painful!

The guy got out and put my bike to the side of the road and I said I was fine just had ball ache! so on he went after a couple of minutes. The accident had ripped some of the spokes out of the front wheel so I decided to push it the 2 miles to work.

As I was pushing it up the bypass there was a couple of ambulances that went passed which I wasnt sure, but they were for me, couple of minutes later a Leather clad copper on a bike pulled up in fornt of me and asked if I was the biker who had been knocked off, after putting my bike on the stand I explained that i was and what had happend. He asked if was okay and I said yeah fine, bit shaken (as it was my first off) but I cracked my balls on the bars as i went over the handlebars.

He asked if I had checked myself to see if I was bleeding down there, as I could have cut a major blood vessel and because of the shock I would not have noticed, I said no, it felt tender but fine, To my dis-beleif he replied pull your trousers down and let me check, I said Pardon? he said he needs to check as explained i could be in shock and bleeding!

So there i was, my pride and joy bike damaged, my personal pride bruised, painfull balls with my trousers round my knees on the side of the busiest bypass's in Poole at morning rush hour, with my back to the traffic and a leather clad copper on his knees inspecting my balls, the slow moving traffic was beeping, laughing and taking the pis*, shouting out of the window!

Maybe not the worst accident, but probably the most embarressing!

Do i get a prize?

In my early years, I was riding a CG125 on our usual Friday rideout to a pub for half a shandy. Going round a bend in a twisty country lane I got caught by the wind (was blowing somewhat) and got blown across the road into the bushes. Low speed spill no damage.

Strange thing was, same happened on the way home. again no damage and everyone had a laugh

When I was 17 (a long time ago) I was following a car on my brand new Suzuki X5 a little too close. He put his brakes on & stopped in the middle of the road. My bike hit the rear of his car, just glancing his rear quarter & knocked me off.
Now, I know it was my fault, but when you are a spotty 17 year old oik it's anybody's fault but yours. I picked myself & my bike up off the floor seething, put the bike on it's stand & stormed over to the bloke saying "What the F@*k did you stop in the middle of the f@*king road for"
The guy looked at me & said "Sorry mate, I missed my house"
When I asked him where he lived he pointed to a house about 10 yards behind us
