Best Supermoto to replace my Gixxer 750?

Been following krhall's search for a bike on here pretty closly and it has got me thinking of swapping up my Gixxer 750 for one, i originally got into bikes because i always wanted one but got distracted by sportsbikes.

Only thought is im so used to and love the pace/madness of my 750 that im not sure if a supermoto will cut it. Plus i do the odd long day on the 750 and i doubt this is something many of the smaller SM will be able to do.

I would love a 990 but i just dont have the money as they are all 4-5k plus.

I love the look of the SXV550 and also the Husqvarna 610 but i hear that maintenance and reliability can be an issue.

I want a bike that is a bit mad to ride.

I guess wind can become a bit of an issue but speeds will generally be lower so i guess that balances it out a bit.

Any recommendations?

have you ever riden a naked bike ? the wind only becomes a real problem over 120(Kph ) .....

i sat bolt up right doing 100(kph ) for 200+ miles with no problem

Wotcha really want is a CRF

+1 on them KTM's, quite looney machines them is!

Krhall, what did you think in comparison to your 600rr as there isnt alot in it with the 750.

never ridden a fast naked barwell, only 125s and a 250.

the ktms would probably be easier as there is a big dealer just up the road from my if i had any problems but i love the look of the 550.

need to get a test ride some how.

That husky is pr0n!

I would steer clear of the aprillia tho however sexy they appear coz they just cost too much to maintain! Parts aint cheap (and take ages to arrive) and they are known for having 'niggles'.

them aprills are nice but ^+1 to above part are a PITA
